Pyramid Point | Dan + Anna Engagement
When we arrived to Port Oneida to meet up with Dan and Anna for their engagement session, we could see blue sky and sunshine. But suddenly and quickly, a mass of dark storm clouds began approaching—all the weather apps warned of imminent and heavy rain. With Dan and Anna on their way already, we decided to embrace the evening—come what may.

But suddenly and quickly, a mass of dark storm clouds began approaching—all the weather apps warned of imminent and heavy rain. With Dan and Anna on their way already, we decided to embrace the evening—come what may. We photographed along the beach, the threat of rain steadily approaching behind us, but these two had not a care in the world—they were totally and completely focused on one another.
A quick outfit change later, we felt certain the rain would cut our session short but decided to adventure to the top of Pyramid Point regardless. Even if we got rained out, it would be an adventure to remember.
However, we were all completely stunned when the clouds parted at the last second, allowing for the most dazzlingly bright orange sunset we had ever seen. We could not have asked for a more perfect romantic ending to the night.
Ben + Samantha | Sleeping Bear Dunes Engagement
How precious it is to witness such pure love and adoration as these two radiated for one another? It was evident being in their presence and even through the photos themselves—these two have something special. To capture such genuine love during this session and again for their wedding, is a true honor that we cannot even being to express in words.
Photographing these two was an absolute dream.
We met up with Ben and Sam only few short weeks before their wedding day. It was a serene July evening in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area for an engagement session and these two made the night even sweeter.
The way Ben and Sam look at and treat each other is something out of a storybook. They spent the majority of the evening gazing into each other’s eyes lovingly, giggling hysterically, and embracing the adventure of the Dunes.

Ben and Sam, the world needs more love like the way you two love.
Thank you for inviting us in to your story and trusting us to document your love.
Blake + Chloe Engagement | Maple Bay Natural Area
As the sun set quickly and the evening light faded, Blake and Chloe traipsed along the beach hand in hand. We spent the mid-summer night talking about all their wedding plans for the following year, dreaming and scheming about all the beautiful details that were yet to unfold.
No one can make Chloe laugh quite like Blake can.

Glen Haven Engagement | Jake + Marina
Last summer, we met up with Jake and Marina in Glen Haven for their engagement session. They brought along their dog to join in on some of the fun—chasing them through the fields, getting up close and personal with the camera, and excitedly running along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

As the sun set over Lake Michigan and the two of them drew into an even closer embrace, we felt so honored to be trusted to capture this part of their love story together.
Ciccone Vineyard Wedding | Alex + Katherine
Witnessed by their closest friends and family on a beautiful mid-summer day at Ciccone Vineyard, Alex and Katherine were married by their friend and principal of the school where they both met as teachers. At the end of their vows, they released two beautiful monarch butterflies who gently flew off into the open sky of Ciccone. Later in the day we discovered even more monarchs around the property, hanging out about the vines and grapes–a special ode to Alex and Katherine’s love of butterflies.
Everything about Alex and Katherine on their wedding day radiated with joy.

We have loved getting to know these two and their story over the course of time–from our initial call to their engagement session and finally to their wedding day–we feel very honored to have been witness to a small part in Alex and Katherine’s beautiful love story.

Port Oneida Family Portraits
When Lindsay reached out the following year to book a family portrait session, we were ecstatic. We were so excited to see the family again and capture their fun personalities together. We spent an evening around Port Oneida and on the beach catching up with them and photographing their sweet interactions. We have so much love for this family and can’t wait for the next occasion when we can photograph them again!
To have the opportunity to capture this family not once, not twice, but THREE times has been a true honor. But let’s rewind for a minute to give a little back story.
Mark and Lindsay reached out to us regarding their September 2022 wedding at The Peninsula Room. They had grown up in the same small town, even worked together for a while, before losing touch after college. Years and years down the road, Mark and Lindsay met up again and started the sweetest relationship together. When they booked with us for their wedding, we knew we wanted to do an engagement session for them that would also include a few family photos with Lindsay’s children. Wandering out on a blustery February day in 2022, we did just that for a winter engagement shoot. Finally their wedding day was a gorgeous late summer day and even the wild wind off the water could not stop the joy these two had about marrying each other. Lindsay’s children stood with them at the altar supporting the two of them every step of the way.
