It was a joy to spend New Years Day photographing Alec and Audrey's engagement photos. We had fresh snow beneath our feet as we trekked out into the woods behind her parents' home where we found a beautiful scene. String lights hung between the trees guiding a path through the forest. We stopped here and there amidst the trees and stood back to capture Alec and Audrey's interactions. We had the sweetest time laughing with them and getting to know them. We loved capturing their engagement and wedding (which will also be coming to the blog at some point!). Congratulations Alec + Audrey!
Fall Color Anniversary Session | John + Sarah
Since they were still going to be up in Traverse City on their original date, we all decided on holding their date to do an anniversary session instead. It was so lovely to see them again a year later and document these portraits amongst the beautiful Fall colors.
John and Sarah had an intimate wedding in 2020 with plans to celebrate with a much larger group in 2021 for a big wedding reception. We photographed their October wedding and were booked for their reception the following year as well. But as time went on, they changed their plans and ended up canceling the reception altogether. Since they were still going to be up in Traverse City on their original date, we all decided on holding their date to do an anniversary session instead. It was so lovely to see them again a year later and document these portraits amongst the beautiful Fall colors. It's been an honor to photograph John and Sarah on so many occasions. Port Oneida Beach Portraits | Weston
Weston is a local songwriter and he wanted some updated photos to release with his upcoming song.
These beach portraits are extra special because we got to photograph Miles' cousin, Weston and his dog Elliot. Weston is a local songwriter and he wanted some updated photos to release with his upcoming song.
We almost rescheduled because of the weather. We had extremely dark clouds, harsh wind, and the threat of rain looming overhead. At the last minute, we decided to make the drive out to Port Oneida anyway and make the portraits happen no matter what. We are so thankful we did because we ended the night with the most spectacular sunset and it was the perfect backdrop for these beach portraits.
Langley Senior Portraits | Port Oneida
We loved photographing the beautiful Langley in Port Oneida for her senior portraits. We adventured around the area to take photos everywhere from an old historic schoolhouse, to a field full of Queen Anne's lace, and eventually ending up at the beach. Because on stunning summer nights in Northern Michigan, we often find ourselves at the beach.

We photographed Bill and Michelle's Maternity Portraits on a gorgeous September morning. We met them a couple hours after sunrise, and though it was a bit chilly with the wind, it was the perfect golden morning. It was an honor to capture their growing family.

It was an honor to photograph the Perreault Family in Suttons Bay. They were staying at a gorgeous property on the beach, and the kiddos enjoyed splashing in the water at the end of their session.
