Alec + Audrey | Bayview Weddings at Gallagher Farms
Northern Michigan always held a special place in Alec and Audrey’s hearts. Alec proposed to her while walking along the Glen Haven beach. So when the two of them finally began to plan their wedding, it was only fitting they would celebrate with friends in family at a Northern Michigan venue.
Northern Michigan always held a special place in Alec and Audrey’s hearts. Audrey’s family had spent every summer in Glen Arbor for nearly 50 years so she had grown up visiting the area and her parents eventually decided to make the town their home (which is where photographed their winter engagement session). Eventually, Alec proposed to her while walking along the Glen Haven beach. So when the two of them finally began to plan their wedding, it was only fitting they would celebrate with friends in family at a Northern Michigan venue.
Bayview Weddings at Gallagher Farms was the perfect setting for their Michigan wedding. The ceremony site overlooked the lake with a stunning view and a large tent atop a big hill with an equally beautiful view set the scene for their reception. Audrey spent the morning getting ready with her girls in a barn amongst the cherry trees while Alec got dressed just down the road at a little cottage over a pond.
Alec and Audrey chose to save their ‘first look’ moment for the altar. When Audrey made her way down the aisle escorted by her father, Alec was overcome by the beauty of his bride. After sharing their personal vows, Alec and Audrey were finally pronounced husband and wife and the party began.
A live band preformed for the energetic crowd as multicolored lights illuminated the tent walls. From a dance-off to a Hora, the reception was filled with hilariously fun moments.

Grace | Senior Portraits | Port Oneida
We are so excited to share some of the photos from my sister Grace’s senior portraits. I will quite possibly never get over the ones in the wildflower field. When she’s not painting or otherwise being creative in some artistic way, you can find her (and likely me as well) at the thrift store, reading, or loving on her nieces and nephew (including our kids).
We had the opportunity to photograph not one, but TWO of our siblings’ senior portraits in 2022. You may have remembered Simon’s senior session from Port Oneida. Now we are so excited to share some of the photos from my sister Grace’s senior portraits. I will quite possibly never get over the ones in the wildflower field.
Grace is now working for our family coffee shop alongside my parents and other siblings (shoutout to Mundos Roasting & Co.). She is also an artist who loves to paint and has lately been creating short illustrations of the various birds that she observes at the bird feeder at home. When she’s not painting or otherwise being creative in some artistic way, you can find her (and likely me as well) at the thrift store, reading, or loving on her nieces and nephew (including our kids).
Alex | Traverse City Senior Portraits
Two summers ago, we met Alex at his downtown home and made the short walk to the beach for photos at one of his favorite locations— Grand Traverse Bay. It was so special to photograph Alex’s senior portraits in a place that meant so much to him all growing up.

We feel so honored to document people celebrating all different kinds of milestones—and graduating is no exception! We want to photograph people in a way that feels authentic to their personalities and give them photos that feel like a pause in time when they look back in years to come. We love that Alex can look back on these photos and remember his senior year and reflect on how much has changed since then and think about all that is yet to come.
Emery Family Portraits | Glen Haven, MI
Not only are the Emerys some the coolest people we know, but they’re also family. We loved spending the evening with them in Glen Haven, capturing their family portraits.

I’ve known Wyatt my whole life as my older cousin (hey, it’s me, Miles writing!). We’ve spent many a family gathering in northern Michigan. He grew up in Traverse City- I lived on the other side of the state. I remember playing in the woods together and days at the beaches at Lake Michigan. We both grew up to love this area.
Wyatt moved away for while but I think Traverse City always held a special place in his heart. Shortly after he got married to Maggie and had his first kid, Heidi, they moved back up here because of those memories that we both share of growing up in such an awesome place. I think he wanted that same experience for his kids.
You wouldn’t believe how pumped we were when they reached out asking for family portraits in Glen Haven. We met up with them one summer evening and it was so much fun. You could see the love that they had for each other and the creating of new Northern Michigan memories.
Ryan + Grace | Brengman Brothers Wedding
Ryan and Grace’s wedding day reflected their personalities—chill and laid back with an emphasis on fun. It was the quintessential summer day in Northern Michigan. Rich blue skies reflected in the waters of Lake Michigan as Ryan and Grace met each other for their first look along the bay.

Rich blue skies reflected in the waters of Lake Michigan as Ryan and Grace met each other for their first look along the bay. From there, classic greens and whites set the tone of their winery wedding celebration. Guests made their way up to hilltop surrounded by a forest of trees on one side and rows of vineyard on the other. For the ceremony, Grace donned her mother’s wedding veil and made her way down the aisle to her emotional Groom. After the vows, Ryan and Grace were pronounced husband and wife and escaped for a few moments between the vines to soak in the precious moments. Guests enjoyed the festivities underneath a white tent on the lawn—from cocktail hour to dinner and speeches. After the late evening sun had dipped below the horizon, Ryan and Grace joined their wedding guests and lit up the dance floor for the rest of the night.
Congratulations Ryan and Grace! What a wonderful day!

Mark + Lindsay | Traverse City Wedding | The Peninsula Room
When Mark and Lindsay initially reached out and shared their love story with us, I couldn’t help but audibly gasp. It felt straight out of a movie! We really truly love Mark and Lindsay and their children. Every time we have had an opportunity to photograph them has been an absolute joy. We are so happy that they found each other and are so honored that they chose us to document this piece of their story.
When Mark and Lindsay initially reached out and shared their love story with us, I couldn’t help but audibly gasp. It felt straight out of a movie! Growing up in the same small town, working at his family’s local grocery store together and then reuniting years and years later in that same small town where Mark finally asked Lindsay out on a date. And from there, as you can see, the rest is history.
The day of their wedding was a stark difference compared to their winter engagement session earlier in the year. September 2nd brought blue skies and sunshine—a lovely day for a wedding. Instead of a classic bridal party, Lindsay’s children stood with them and her two boys even walked her down the aisle. Mark and Lindsay surprised all of their guests with a special performance by NUCLASSICA—playing during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and then really stepping it up during the reception! The room was electric and everyone couldn’t wait to get out on the dance floor. Finally, Mark and Lindsay snuck away to watch the sunset on the beach across the road before coming back to a sparkler ‘re-entrance’ into their reception celebration.
We really truly love Mark and Lindsay and their children. Every time we have had an opportunity to photograph them has been an absolute joy. We are so happy that they found each other and are so honored that they chose us to document this piece of their story. Congratulations Mark + Lindsay. Your love for each other is radiant!
